Privacy Policy for Bumptastic

Thank you for using Bumptastic ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide (Stored Locally)
Bumptastic is a local-first application. The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Due Date or Last Menstrual Period (LMP) date — used to calculate your pregnancy week and milestones.
- Bump photos — photos you take or upload within the app.
- Journal entries and notes — text notes associated with your weekly entries.
- App preferences — notification settings, frequency, and time of day.
1.2 Data You Provide (In-App Feedback Form)
When you choose to submit feedback via the in-app feedback form (accessed through Settings), you are directed to a form hosted by Tally.so, a third-party form service. The following information is collected:

No personal information (such as your name or email address) is collected. Feedback submissions are anonymous.
This form is processed by Tally.so on our behalf. Please review Tally's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle form submission data.
Important: If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted. We strongly recommend using the Export feature to back up your data regularly.
1.3 Data Collected Automatically (Advertising)
To support the free version of the App, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect the following data automatically:
- Device information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
- Advertising identifiers — Google Advertising ID (GAID) used for ad targeting and frequency capping.
- IP address — used for approximate geolocation for ad serving.
- Ad interaction data — impressions, clicks, and engagement with adverts.
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own Privacy Policy and AdMob Terms of Service.
2. How We Use Your Data

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, with the following exceptions:
- Google AdMob: Ad serving and measurement as described above.
- Tally.so (Feedback Form): When you submit feedback via the in-app form, your responses (and optionally your email address) are processed by Tally.so. See Section 5 for full details.
- User-initiated sharing: When you choose to share a milestone image using the in-app Share feature, the image is passed to your device's native share sheet. The receiving platform (e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp, iMessage) is then subject to that platform's own privacy policy. We do not transmit your image to any server — the share is performed entirely on-device.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or court order.
4. Advertising & User Consent
If you are located in the UK, European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised advertising is shown. You may:
- Accept personalised ads — AdMob will use your advertising ID for interest-based ads.
- Decline — Non-personalised ads will still be shown, but without using your advertising ID for targeting.
You can change your ad preferences at any time in the app's Settings.
5. In-App Feedback Form
The in-app feedback form opens a Tally.so-hosted form within an in-app browser.
What is collected
- Feedback category and type — the topic and nature of your feedback.
- Your message / description — the details of your feedback.
No personal data is collected. Feedback is entirely anonymous — no name, email, or device identifier is attached to your submission.
Legal basis
Feedback content is collected on the basis of legitimate interest — using anonymous feedback to improve the App for all users.
Third-party processor: Tally.so
Tally.so hosts the form on our behalf. As no personal data is submitted, standard GDPR data subject rights (access, erasure, etc.) do not apply to feedback submissions. For full details, see Tally's Privacy Policy.
6. Device Permissions
Bumptastic requests the following device permissions. All features operate locally and no permission data is transmitted to our servers.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time via your device's Settings app.
7. Data Security
All personal data (photos, notes, dates) is stored exclusively on your device using the device's native storage mechanisms. We do not have access to this data. No data is transmitted over the network by us.
8. Data Retention
Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, data retention is entirely under your control. Data is retained until:
- You delete individual entries within the App.
- You uninstall the App (which permanently deletes all data).
- You use the export/restore feature to transfer your data to a new device.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Right of access — Request a copy of your data (use the in-app Export feature).
- Right to erasure — Delete your data at any time within the App or by uninstalling it.
- Right to withdraw consent — Withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time via the App's Settings.
- Right to object — Object to data processing for direct marketing purposes.

10. US State Privacy Rights
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know — You may request details about the categories of personal information collected and how it is used or shared.
- Right to delete — You may request deletion of your personal information (use the in-app Reset feature, or uninstall the App).
- Right to opt out of "sharing" — Under CCPA, sharing data with advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) is regulated even if no money changes hands. You may opt out of ad personalisation at any time via Settings → Manage Ad Preferences in the App.
- Right to non-discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights.
We do not sell your personal information. However, sharing advertising identifiers with Google AdMob for ad personalisation may constitute "sharing" under CCPA. You can opt out at any time using the Manage Ad Preferences option in Settings.
Other US State Residents
Similar rights may apply if you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, or other states with active privacy laws. You may:
- Access and delete your locally stored data via the in-app Export and Reset features.
- Opt out of personalised advertising via Settings → Manage Ad Preferences.
11. Children's Privacy
Bumptastic is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.
12. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our app store listing with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
